Key Benefits

01

Low-Calorie Sweet Taste

A natural source of sweet taste without blood-sugar level impacts. Enables natural reformulation to reduce sugar and replace artificial sweeteners.

02

Prebiotic Properties

Yacon tubers are high in FOS, most notably inulin, which are indigestible but enhance the microbiome and gut health. Supports gut & digestive health with prebiotic claims and as a rich source of fibre.

03

Low GI Score

Yacon's low GI score makes it suitable for diabetics and helps regulate blood glucose levels. Foods containing this fibre can carry the health claims 'stabilises glycaemia' and 'regulates blood glucose' as front of pack claims.
